Oregon's primary is scheduled for May 20. The Oregonian reported this week about the Democratic candidates' push for backing from labor unions. The newspaper said that:

Novick and (Jeff) Merkley, of Portland, are the front-runners in a six-way race that also includes Candy Neville, a Eugene real estate broker; David Loera, a retired Salem mental health counselor; Pavel Goberman, a Beaverton fitness buff; and Roger Obrist of Clackamas, a frequent candidate who runs low-budget, low-profile campaigns.
